The Scout.com Post-Graduate Top 50

Scout.com has finished up our prep school tour and we felt that now was as good of a time as any to release our post-graduate Top 50. The list features players from eight different schools including several from the traditional powers Hargrave, Milford and Fork Union.

Scout.com Postgraduate Top 50
Every year as fans watch college football more and more of them start to see the impact of post-graduate players. This season two of the top running backs in nation are freshmen and are former post-graduate players. LeSean McCoy and Graig Cooper are two players you will likely see almost every weekend on your favorite sports highlight shows. Both are making a huge impact for their respective schools (Pittsburgh) and (Miami) and are doing their part to show how important a post-graduate player can be.

McCoy and Graig Cooper were both ranked as five-star prospects last season by Scout.com when they were teammates at Milford Academy in New Berlin, N.Y., So who are this years top post-graduate players? Hargrave Military Academy has the most players on the list, including five of the top six overall led by running back Enrique Davis who is headed to Auburn. No.2 on the list is wide receiver DeAngelo Benton. The talented Benton struggled earlier this year in practice, but after we saw him in action against Tennessee we were sold and feel that Benton is a future star.

Milford's Charles Deas may have made one of the greatest physical transformations that we have seen from a player in a one-year period. Deas weighed in at close to 400 pounds last season and was grossly out of shape. This season the Auburn commit dedicated himself and it shows as he is down to 325 pounds and looks great. The former Florida high school standout takes the No. 3 spot.

Hargrave wide receiver Dwight Jones is as good as anyone listed ahead of him and could prove to be the best player on this list at some point. The future Tar Heel takes the No. 4 spot on the list, but just like the three players ahead of him he made our decision tough.

Big East fans may cringe, but yes West Virginia is getting another stud running back in Terence Kerns. The No. 5 rated player in our post-graduate rankings also from Hargrave shares carries for the Tigers.

Fork Union also has two players in the top ten and both are members of a highly talented secondary. Akeem Auguste and Antonio Allen will take their talents to South Carolina after prep school.

Stay logged on to Scout.com as we will continue to watch film and evaluate players. Each month until signing day we will update our post-graduate rankings.

If you know of a prep school player who is a post-graduate that you do not see on this list and you think we may not be aware of send us an email at Bob Lichtenfels or Miller Safrit
